    Default certificate errors-new programs after install?

    I've never, ever had a problem with spybot..when I updated I decided to go with the new version..1st, it didn't overwrite the old files, so left me with two-uninstalled both, then downloaded the new version-every other web page has a certificate error! Frustrating! Then, It arbitrarily decided I added new programs! Every time I go to the start menu-it says I have new programs installed-won't go away even though I open them-please help! I'm running XP with IE7.....
