Help please - rundll32.exe is not a valid win32 application

Guys, please help me with this problem...

Whenever I start my windows, I get a message rundll32.exe is not a valid win32 application. And then when I try to open other programs e.g notepad, or any other exe I get an error message xxx.exe is not a valid win32 application. Yesterday I tried one serial craker freeware and since then this problem has started.

Till now I have tried following things but nothing worked and problem still exists -
1. Restore windows to previous well known configuration - Only one well known configuration was available and that happened to be of the time after I installed the freeware. I tried restoring to that configuration but it didn't resolve the problem.
2.I read somewhere that sfc /scannow can be used to restore the protected system files, so I ran it but that didn't help either.

(The only program works is command prompt (start --> run --> command)
When I run exe from command prompt I can run it successfully. Right now I am starting all the applications using commad prompt)

Does anyone know what is the problem?

Run this free online scan using Internet Explorer:
Kaspersky Online Virus Scanner

Next Click on Launch Kaspersky Online Scanner

You will be prompted to install an ActiveX component from Kaspersky, Click Yes.

• The program will launch and then begin downloading the latest definition files:
• Once the files have been downloaded click on NEXT
• Now click on Scan Settings
• In the scan settings make that the following are selected:
• Scan using the following Anti-Virus database:
• Standard
• Scan Options:
• Scan Archives
• Scan Mail Bases
• Click OK
• Now under select a target to scan: Select My Computer
• This will program will start and scan your system.
• The scan will take a while so be patient and let it run.
• Once the scan is complete it will display if your system has been infected.
• Now click on the Save as Text button:
• Save the file to your desktop.

Post the log along with a New HJT Log into your next reply.
