Default Bit Defender conflict with Spybot?

I have Bit Defender Pro 9.5. Bit Defender support just told me that I must uninstall Spyware Blaster and Spybot because of a major conflict between them and BD and that these applications are the cause of slow downs and hangs while surfing if BD is also being used. That might make a tiny bit of sense if I were using Tea Timer now that BD comes with an antispyware module but I'm not. I asked support to explain further this demand that I remove these two antispyware applications. I also told support that I would remove BD before I would give up my two oldest and favorite antispyware applications. I explained that both of them do neat things besides protecting regarding spyware which I don't get because I am very knowledgeable about security matters and a careful user. (I had earlier protested Bit Defender's forced upgrade to 9.5 which is buggy and has the antispyware module that I didn't want and haven't been using). Support's response was to totally ignore my request for a reasonable explanation of their demand. They didn't even seem a bit concerned that they were losing a customer either.

Do you have any idea what BD is so defensive about and why they insist that their users cannot also use Spybot and Spyware Blaster? I have to assume it is the immunization feature they feel causes a conflict? I just don't get it how these two wonderful proggies could cause slowdowns and hanging when surfing if BD is also installed. BD support has been telling a lot of users recently that they must uninstall these two applications even when the user says they don't think there is a conflict...BD support insists there is and that we must uninstall if we want further support from BD.That really sits wrong with me and although I really liked BD and had no idea that there was this supposed conflict when I got it (upgraded from the free version after a year) I am now looking for another AV but I'd like to know what this all about. Thanks.

For your information F-Secure Internet Security 2006 also requires removal of Spybot (and Ad-Aware) although FSIS 2005 had no such problem.

Is there a conflict if you do not use Tea Timer and do not immunize or use the BHO? I don't see how there could be when all Spybot would be than is a on demand scanner, detection and removal tool. It would have nothing running that could conflict with anything else. If it does conflict while scanning just disable the AV until the Spybot scan is over.
