Internet background task installed by iWon. iWon's privacy policy allows you to opt-out of giving away PII. Contacts http://plus.iwon.com transmitting a GUID that is most probably a unique ID. This sets a cookie and returns a hidden page. More constant small traffic is following with yet unknown contents.

Autorun:

Please use Spybot-S&D, RunAlyzer or msconfig.exe to remove the following autorun entries.
  • Entries named "Aornum".
  • Entries named "Aornum1".
  • Entries named "Aornum2".
  • Entries named "Aornum3".
  • Entries named "Aornum4".
  • Entries named "Aornum5".
  • Entries named "Aornum6".
  • Entries named "Aornum7".
  • Entries named "Aornum8".
  • Entries named "Aornum9".

Installed Software List:

You can try to uninstall products with the names listed below; for items identified by other properties or to avoid malware getting active again on uninstallation, use Spybot-S&D or RunAlyzer to locate and get rid of these entries.
  • Products with a key that includes "Aornum" in its name or properties.
  • Products with a key that includes "Aornum1" in its name or properties.

Folders:

Please use Windows Explorer or another file manager of your choice to locate and delete these folders.
  • The directory at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\Ornum".
  • The directory at "C:\Program files\Ornum".
Make sure you set your file manager to display hidden and system files. If Aornum uses rootkit technologies, use our RootAlyzer or our Total Commander anti-rootkit plugins.
You will have to use a global search for files without a name specified. Be extra careful, because just the name might not be enough to identify folders!

Registry:

You can use regedit.exe (included in Windows) to locate and delete these registry entries.
  • Delete the registry key "{95D56630-2C38-4f0c-8C92-54B79EF9CA78}" at "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\".
  • A key in HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\ named "Aornum.AuxControl", plus associated values.
  • A key in HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\ named "Aornum.Notifier", plus associated values.
  • Delete the registry key "{5271F73A-DD57-487E-A1AF-93D2E20E5801}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\".
  • Delete the registry key "{910E7499-6311-4843-8EB0-0100A7955A1F}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\".
  • Delete the registry key "{9C813B33-52A2-466D-8C51-EB4189C1FF98}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\".
  • Delete the registry key "{03AB76AF-3DA8-4C14-8DE7-075FAA885B06}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Interface\".
  • Delete the registry key "{6D4E8F5B-2460-4DD0-920D-F49EA311FBBA}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\TypeLib\".
If Aornum uses rootkit technologies, use our RegAlyzer, RootAlyzer or our Total Commander anti-rootkit plugins.

Browser:

The following browser plugins or items can either be removed directly in your browser, or through the help of e.g. Spybot-S&D or RunAlyzer.
  • Look for ActiveX software installed from "imgfarm.com/images/nocache/aornumIWREG".
