I have been trying to setup Spybot to run automatic, unassisted scans in the background, but have not had minimal (i.e. no) success with getting the configuration options in the right order
Digging around on Google didn't yeild much, nor did I find what I was looking for in the general support area. I was hoping someone had generated a list, or screenshot(s), of the options that need to be set in order to get a fully autonomous "scan and clean" with Spybot. I am trying to set this up for a gentleman who is mentally handicapped and perpetually has tons of pop-ups, so user interface needs to be at it's absolute MINIMUM. Thanks to all for your help ahead of time! mr_byte |

Have you checked out the following?
Are there any command line parameters? http://www.safer-networking.org/en/faq/30.html Typical parameters: /taskbarhide /autoclose /autoupdate /autocheck /autofix To schedule: Go into Spybot > Mode > Advanced mode > Settings > Scheduler Note: Spybot uses the OS scheduler so in certain Windows OS's, such as XP, you my have a password on the user account that is scheduling and running Spybot. |
