Ive had a problem for the past few weeks or so. I think its due to a windows update. The problem occurs when 2 or 3 applications happen to open at the same time. They cease to operate further and no other executable file and be opened. Everything that is already open functions normally though.

I installed new software for a hub recently and it wouldnt install due to it installing 3 seperate things simultaneously. I decided to open my task manager and end processes that werent vital to my system. After doing this I was able to isntall the software fine and nothing stopped or ceased to function. Im not sure what it is but heres my log.

I dont see any signs of the recent spyware/malware
Looks as if your running more than one firewall, trends and ZA ?
Is the built in windows firewall off ?

trends is turned off and I only use the spyware and antivirus functions. Windows firewall is turned off as I know that having more than one firewall at a time can cause problems. Zone alarm has been acting weird since I updated it but my problem has been occuring for several weeks. If you need any other logs Ill be happy to do them

If ZA is acting up see if its uninstall offers a repair option if so use it, or uninstall reboot and install once more.

Thanks. I did that not long back and its been fine since. The problem im having is being caused by something running in the background. Like I said when I opened Task manager and closed all uneeded processes my computer ran fine. if possible I would like to locate this executable program and stop it from running. If there is a program or something to post my processes Ill be happy to do so.

Thats already been done w/ the log

Check widows update and find out exatcly what updates were installed, then
you and i can check the kb for possible issuses
