    Default Can't Delete Malware

I ran Spybot S&D this evening, and the program located one piece of malware but couldn't delete it. The malware was "OptimumInstaller" and was located in the Google Toolbar Buttons. The Spybot S&D error message that I got was:

Unexpected error in fixing problems "Can not create file "C:\Windows\wininit.ini" Access is denied.

Does anyone know how I can get Spybot S&D to get rid of this? Thanks in advance.

    Hello,

This is a common error code seen in our software. Although it is a common Windows error code, it's not really an error so much as an administrative access issue. Spybot requires that you have administrative rights over the machine upon which you install them.

Right-click the Spybot - Search & Destroy entry in your start menu,
instead of just left-clicking to start it.
Then, choose Run as administrator from the context menu.
You will find a screenshot of this problem in our FAQ:
How can I get admin rights?

    Best regards

I found the same thing. I deleted it with Spybot, and also uninstalled the Google Toolbar for IE since I do not use IE.....Question: If finding Optimum Installer with the Google Toolbar is actually a False Positive, could removing it with Spybot do any harm? Thanks.
