Malware: abetterinternet

I had recently scanned my computer with Spybot and found it clean. However, when I used TrendMicro's Anti Spyware, results showed that my machine was infected with the malware, abetterinternet. I looked up Spybot's detection products and said malware is included in the list.

What gives? Why didn't Spybot detect the malware?

Without seeing a Spybot-S&D log taken at the time, I don't know.

There are too many variables, false positives, new variant etc.

In future if Spybot-S&D does not detect an item, please send the zipped file to: detections(AT)spybot.info Replace AT with @

Okay. I'm sorry I haven't thought of that. By the way, I had the malware deleted and scans showed no re-infection after rebooting the computer. Thanks a lot.
