Main update

hello I am new on this forum and here is my first question.

recentlty I update SP and a line was "main update".

the main update implementation fail .

now , I cannot download anymore this main update and I don't see any option to run again the implementation process.

could you please help .

Hello,

It is our real main update to version 1.4.
The date shown is older than the actual date, because Spybot 1.4 was released some time ago.
We actually underestimated the number of installation for version 1.3 which did not manually update to 1.4. So we just recently added the main update for general update for version 1.3.
It is a recommended update since, version 1.3 has outdated features which does not support all new detection rules.

Please download our current version Spybot - Search & Destroy 1.4.
You will find links to several download locations for this new version on our web site:
http://www.safer-networking.org/en/mirrors/index.html
Please search for new updates after installing Spybot-S&D 1.4.

yes it was the main update to 1.4.

Did I need to uninstall Spybot 1.3 before installing 1.4 or did the update program do this automatically ?

Please uninstall the older version of Spybot - Search & Destroy before installing the new version.
In order to uninstall Spybot-S&D, please consider the following link:

It is important to use the "very small fix".
Then download the new version of Spybot - Search & Destroy 1.4.
