My laptop has been suffering some unusual behaviors the past few weeks.

I think I've fixed several of them myself, but the hijacking I can't seem to rid my laptop of. Can you guys help me with this.

I did some reading here already and hopefully this will help...
I have recently run CCleaner, Spybot S&D, Register Cleaner, Spyware Doctor, Spy Sweeper, Ad Aware. Currently running Zone Alarm free, AVG free, CookieWall.

Hello Jaye, Welcome to the forum, if you have not received help elsewhere and still need help, I see no evidence in the Fixwareout report indicating you had this infection? I also see nothing in the HJT log that looks like malware. If you do still need help, we may be looking for something hidden, even a rootkit, something other than malware? Please do this:

1) Follow the instructions you seem to have missed which is pinned to the top of the forum where you posted.

Read and follow those directions.

You are running HJT from a Temp folder and we wll have no backups if we need them. Move it, I prefer here: C:\HJT\HijackThis.exe. If you need additional instructions use these:

You must provide more information than that, I need symptoms of the problem, it may not even be a malware issue, please post any error messages "word for word".

4) You have AVG Anti-Spyware 7.5 on board, follow the instructions in this link: http://forums.security-central.us/showthread.php?t=3165

Restart the computer and post the required online antivirus scan you chose, the results of the AVG AS scan, a new HJT log and some information to help me identify your problem.

Sounds good and glad to hear it:bigthumb: If you are is well with your computer, then I will add this information and wish you safe surfing.

System Restore does not know the good files from the bad. In case bad stuff has gotten into your System Restore files, follow the instructions in this link to get clean System Restore files. Turn it off, reboot then turn it back on:

AVG Anti-Spyware is a good program but it does use some resources. Once the trial is over you can update and use the scanner for as long as you wish, but unless you purchase it you should turn it off completely so it does not run unless you start it manually.

I appreciate the added info. I'm trying to learn all I can to keep my laptop clean...and the three other computers in our house. I feel like the on-call tech around here. lol And I don't know that much, but always willing to learn what I can.
