http://ie.redirect.hp.com etc won't go away

I have a link on my HJT logfile: hxxp://ie.redirect.hp.comsvs/rdr?TYPE=38tp=iehome&locale-EN_US&c=Q106&bd=presario&pf=laptop. This link is attacking my computer over and over. My Ad-Watch keeps blocking it. Spybot, AdAware and CounterSpy don't see it. I don't have IE installed on this computer anymore and haven't for a while (I uninstalled because I hate it) but now this has popped up.

HJT displays it and I choose it for removal but it is always there at the next scan! I would really like to get rid of this-thanks for any help you can give me!

Welcome to the forum, if you still need help and are not receiving it elsewhere, let's do this.

You are running HJT.exe from a .zip file in a Temporary Directory. This is unsafe as we will have no backups. That is why you received this message when you used HJT: http://russelltexas.com/malware/images/unsafefolder.gif

Your Adwatch program is probably blocking the change. Turn Adwatch off and try it, I have even had to uninstall Adwatch and reinstall it before to do a change in that area. It could also be CounterSpy, but I doubt it. Make sure you have no running programs and ALL Windows are closed but HJT when you execute the fix. I would remove ALL of the HP redirects if I were you.

If you need me to assist, then fix the position of HJT and post a new HJT log.
