This is a really good lesson about falling for malware because of not paying attention. Instead of downloading Spybot S&D I downloaded Spyware Bot after reading good reviews of Spybot S&D. Here is how it works:

1. Read lots of good reviews.
2. Don't pay attention to the EXACT name.
3. Download and do the scan.
4. OOps, now you have to pay to get rid of the buggers. RED FLAG
5. Cough up your credit card number to the "five star program".
6. Be told the charge will be noted as "Clickbank".
7. Ignore that red flag.
8. Try to configure the program, ha ha ah oh yeah right!! BUGGY
9. Go to Spyware Bot tech help. It is really impressive, they take over your computer for you, move the cursor all around, click on things that don't work and some times do work. They are polite and try hard. But things still are a little fuzzy and you are finding more things that don't work right.
10. Ignore that red flag (to give them more time to play with the card).
11. Go on the Spybot SD forum to ask why their program doesn't work (see my previous post).
12. Get a response with TOO BIG A RED FLAG TO IGNORE (see previous post)
13. Feel like a dumbass.
14. Call the bank to cancel your card.
15. Start thinking about identity theft.

Don't worry though, Spyware Bot doesn't really debit your account for the buggy program. They were just FOOLING.
