hi there peeps....
i am using windows VISTA X64 edition (not beta)and i am experiencing a weird issue with search and destroy 1.4 i have updated the client and have all the latest updates but..... when I run the application to scan for issues it works fine then finds them. Then when i click on FIX ISSUES they all go to green ticks as they should. Then if i close and re scan again just to make sure if finds the same ones its like its not removing them. its finding them then showing the spyware found then trying to remove them then saying its done but it hasn't actually removed them.... any ideas???

it worked like a treat on the old windows XP X64 just seems not to be able to do its job on full release VISTA X64

thanks
tim

I suggest that you post a log of that actual detections that you are getting so that someone can see the detections that are not being fixed. To do that:
Run another scan/fix.
When the scan/fix completes, right click on the results list, select "Copy results to clipboard".
Then paste (Ctrl+V) those results to a new post in this thread.

The problem is not necessarily related to Vista x64 and Spybot 1.4.

Firstly I am no expert on the deletion of Firefox tracking cookies, but problems have been encountered deleting Firefox tracking cookies in the past with more common Windows Operating Systems.

Some background questions: Have you used Spybot 1.4 to delete Firefox tracking cookies using the same version of Firefox on other Windows Operating Systems? If so what were the results?

Take a look at the following thread and see if it helps:
Reappearing cookies?
http://forums.spybot.info/showthread.php?t=10743
If not please post back and we will try to determine if there is a new problem with Spybot 1.4 deleting Firefox tracking cookies while running under Vista x64
