Right well i hope you guys might be able to help. As said in the title, my CPU usage regularly hits 100%, and i have 4-5 svchost.exe processes running in win task manager, most are 3-4k, but one ranges from 21k-45k. Similarly, iexplore.exe is using 45k and 14k at the present time. This seems massive to me for just having a web page problem? In addition, explorer.exe is using around 14k of system resources!!

Ive scanned for viruses using ad-aware, spybot S&D and kapersky, they have found various viruses here and there, deleted them. Have since turned off system restore and done scans, have found no further viruses, but am still have trouble!!

Here's my hijack this log:

I'd really appreciate any help anyone might be able to give. I am not that technically minded especially when it comes to sorting viruses, so if you could give me step by step instructions it would really help

Thanks a lot in advance guys!

hi ninja32,

it dosnt necessarily mean you have a virus or malware.
i dont see a resident antivirus app in the log. did you scan with a online antivirus? do you have one installed on your computer?

as a check lets try a scan in safe mode, a minimal amount of apps/processes/drivers run in safe mode so any malware if present might be removed easier.

also do this:
rename the hjt icon to something like scanner.exe, then scan (in normal mode) and post a new hjt log please.
