Unable to get SBSD to run

Well, here I am again. Up the bovine-effluvium creek in a chicken-wire boat, with no paddle! :red:

After reformating my hard drive and making some preferential changes in Windows XP, I downloaded SBSD, updates, tools, etc. For some reason, I cannot get SBSD to initialize and run. Would one of your experts intervene and send a life raft...er umm...with a paddle...pleeeeeze? Thanks. Tarheel

I am having exactly the same problem and cannot figure this out.

It runs fine on my laptop running WindowsXP Pro, but on my 4 X fast desktop, it might get thru 2000, or 5000, or even 7000 files out of 58,000 and locks up my whole computer.

I have to reboot to get anything to run.

This is driving me CRAzY.

If anyone has a solution: PLEASE post it.

Fairly sure I am spyware free.
I use these protective programs:
AVG 7.5
Spyware Blaster
Trend Micro's latest 3.0 version
Windows Defender
AdAwareSE

I update these frequently, but can NOT get Spybot to finish a full scan.

Hello Groucho! Well, I'm the last person in this world to offer any advice relative to this problem. However, I can personally testify to the whiz-bang team here at the forum. These folks are finer 'n frog hair and that's a fact!!! They'll set you up and probably put a pretty bow on it for ya. Lots of luck, oops, almost forgot, in cybernese that's LOL. Tarheel
