Welcome to the forum, if you still need help I'll first say you have a badly outdated Java Program, see this information:
http://forums.spybot.info/showpost.php?p=12880&postcount=2
C:\Program Files\Java\j2re1.4.2_03\ <<< out of date, undate to the newest version and uninstall all old version in Add Remove Programs.

I notice a distinct lack of programs running? I see no evidence of Selective Startup running in MSConfig?
You said this:
I don't know why, but it seems like this computer is fine but takes forever to do the littlist tasks. I am suspecting it could be malware but not sure. Let's don't rule it out but that is not a lot of information you provided, what is taking forever, please give me as many details as you think will help. Let me give you some information:

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/928089/ <<< this should be fixed but now if you are up to date with Windows Criticals
http://users.telenet.be/bluepatchy/miekiemoes/slowcomputer.html
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/IE/community/columns/IEtopten.mspx
http://vlaurie.com/computers2/Articles/runbetter.htm

You may need to turn off WD:
We need to disable your Windows Defender Real-time Protection as it may interfere with the fixes that we need to make.
Open Windows Defender, Click on Tools, General Settings.
Scroll down and uncheck Turn on real-time protection (recommended).
After you uncheck this, click on the Save button and close Windows Defender.
After all of the fixes are complete it is very important that you enable Real-time Protection again.

You have a little trash I would get rid of, I suggest you do this:

Open HijackThis and choose "Do a system scan only" then check the box in front of these line items:

O3 - Toolbar: (no name) - {BA52B914-B692-46c4-B683-905236F6F655} - (no file)
O16 - DPF: {03F998B2-0E00-11D3-A498-00104B6EB52E} (MetaStreamCtl Class) - https://components.viewpoint.com/MTS...0%3A%3A454x107

Close all programs but HJT and all browser windows, then click on "Fix Checked"

If the above information does not take care of your issues, then follow these directions:
http://forums.security-central.us/showthread.php?t=3165
Make sure you delete or at least quarantine anything located and post the scan report along with a new HJT log.

Thanks

pskelley,

As for the "

I don't know why, but it seems like this computer is fine but takes forever to do the littlist tasks. I am suspecting it could be malware but not sure. "

Mainly, it takes forever to log on, and start up applications. I will try what you suggested. I will let you know when I am able to do so. Thanks very much for your help.

Was this log created when you were in Safe Mode? If so, please post a new HJT log while you are running in Normal Mode.

I really see no problems in the log, if you are experiencing malware problems, please describe them.

Thanks

This log looks clean to me.

System Restore does not know the good files from the bad. In case bad stuff has gotten into your System Restore files, follow the instructions in this link to get clean System Restore files. Turn it off, reboot then turn it back on:

Here is some great information from Tony Klein, Texruss, ChrisRLG and Grinler to help you stay clean and safe online:
