I've been getting pop up after pop up and no mater what I use, Norton, Avast, Spybot S&D, Spyware Doctor etc..... I keep getting registry changes, tones of pop ups, and the occasional trojin warning :sad:
I need a lot of help here, I'm almost to the point of reinstalling windows, but I'd like to try to clean the PC 1st.

if you still need some help, please download and run comboFix:
1. Download this file from one of the links:

2. Double click combofix.exe & follow the prompts.
3. When finished, it shall produce a log for you. Post that log in your next reply
Note:
Do not mouseclick combofix's window whilst it's running. That may cause it to stall

When I go to run combiFix, I get Notice.txt wich says the following:
The tool, ComboFix has been temporarily withdrawn.
The author discovered a rootkit infection that will intefere with ComboFix's running.
This will cause Combofix to be UNSAFE FOR USE on your machine.
Even if you manage to find a mirror for the tool, PLEASE DO NOT RUN THIS TOOL

hi basicguy,
do i see two anitvirus? avast and AVG? only need one, two is not better in this case.
i would remove one via the add/remove programs panel , then reboot computer once.
scan with HJT, put a checkmark beside the items below, close all windows and click fix checked.

Download SDFix (http://downloads.andymanchesta.com/RemovalTools/SDFix.exe) and save it to your Desktop.
Double click SDFix.exe and it will extract the files to %systemdrive%
(Drive that contains the Windows Directory, typically C:\SDFix)
Please then reboot your computer in Safe Mode by doing the following :
Restart your computer
After hearing your computer beep once during startup, but before the Windows icon appears, tap the F8 key continually;
Instead of Windows loading as normal, the Advanced Options Menu should appear;
Select the first option, to run Windows in Safe Mode, then press Enter.
Choose your usual account.
Open the extracted SDFix folder and double click RunThis.bat to start the script.
Type Y to begin the cleanup process.
It will remove any Trojan Services and Registry Entries that it finds then prompt you to press any key to Reboot.
Press any Key and it will restart the PC.
When the PC restarts the Fixtool will run again and complete the removal process then display Finished, press any key to end the script and load your desktop icons.
Once the desktop icons load the SDFix report will open on screen and also save into the SDFix folder as Report.txt
(Report.txt will also be copied to Clipboard ready for posting back on the forum).
Finally paste the contents of the Report.txt back on the forum with a new HijackThis log

do you see this in add/remove prgrams panel:
Ipwindows
if so run the uninstaller, if not look in C:\Program files\Ipwindows folder for one, might be listed as "unwise" in the folder.
if you dont see either one then lets try the purity scan uninstaller. download and run it, after you run it, reboot computer once if the uninstaller dosnt ask for a reboot.
last: rescan and post a new hjt log.

Thanks for the help so far, my system is getting slower some how lol. Also 2 trojins keep poping up, but I think they are gone now.
Will I need to reinstall my OS to get rid of everything to fix this, or are there more steps. I'll do as much as I can to save myself from that.

ok thanks for the info, lets do all of this in safe mode. to get to safe mode please tap the f8 key during a computer restart, from the list chose the first option safe mode. once in safe mode:
do the following: you might want to copy/paste it to notepad and save it somewhere so you can read it in safe mode
scan with HJT, put a checkmark beside the items below, close all windows and click fix checked.

This ipwins thing isn't anywhere in my program files
ok good, thats what we were trying to get rid of. hjt log looks ok now. hows it on your end?
