What do I need to do now? My pc still does not seem right, ie very slow. I have never done anything like this before so hopefully I didnt mess anything up.

Hi Chris and welcome to the forum. If you still need help I will see what I can do. First, Smitfraudfix appears to have done a great job for you. Let's see if we can find out what may be causing the issues you mentioned, and be assured that you are doing great:bigthumb: It is just that malware takes it's toll and there may be something hiding and some cleanup that needs to be done to get you back to normal. Let's take a look, here is what I suggest for starters.

1) C:\Program Files\Viewpoint\Common\ViewpointService.exe
C:\Program Files\Viewpoint\Viewpoint Manager\ViewMgr.exe
Please read about this aol junk: For your information, Viewpoint is installed by aol probably without your knowledge. I suggest you uninstall this resource waster in Add Remove programs.

You will probably need to disable that service to uninstall the stuff, like this:
Disable the Service
Click Start > Run and type services.msc
Scroll down to Viewpoint Manager Service and right click on it.
Click Properties and under Service Status click Stop, then under Startup Type change it to Disabled.

2) Please download ATF Cleaner by Atribune

Save it to your Desktop. We will use this later.

Open HijackThis and choose "Do a system scan only" then check the box in front of these line items:

(leave the first one IF you use it, I assume Yahoo is your HomePage)

(the R3 is not bad, just damaged, if you use it download it again when we finish)

Close all programs but HJT and all browser windows, then click on "Fix Checked"

3) Run ATF Cleaner
Double-click ATF-Cleaner.exe to run the program.
Click Select All found at the bottom of the list.
Click the Empty Selected button.
Click Exit on the Main menu to close the program.

Restart the computer and post a new HJT log, let me know how the computer is running now.
