Hi

I have hit a dead end...

I enter a key word in the google search box and hit the button. Links to possible articles and content I am looking for appear. I click on an hyperlink and I am taken to a page which has a different URL than what I supposedly clicked on. I go back and click on the same link again and it works fine...some times the back button does not work and the same page is refreshed. I have noticed an intermediate page that seems to be interfering/intercepting my clicks 216.133.243..28/2.php?........... ). Spybot - Search & Destroy scan is all clear. Lavasoft Ad-Aware SE Personal is all clear as well. I Am running Norton Internet Security 2006

The report for Fixwareout and HijackThis are as follows:

Welcome to the forum, make sure you reviewed the information posted for you: "BEFORE you POST" -Preliminary Steps

Move HJT from the Desktop for safety. I prefer C:\HJT\HijackThis.exe, if you need additional instructions use these: http://russelltexas.com/malware/createhjtfolder.htm

Please download ATF Cleaner by Atribune
http://www.atribune.org/content/view/25/2/
Save it to your Desktop. We will use this later.

Open HijackThis and choose "Do a system scan only" then check the box in front of these line items:

Hi psKelly ...

Thanks for your help...

My issue is resolved...I have installed a trial version of kaspersky 6.0 and a complete system scan found more than 100 security issues that norton internet security 2006 didn't detect....

Even with Kaspersky's efficieny, the system at times behaves erratically with some programs terminating abruptly...

Thanks once again ...

Regards
rmadahar

Hello rmadahar, you said this:
My issue is resolved...
and then go on to tell about all of the problems you have. I gave you instructions to be followed and I have no idea why you did not follow them.

Post a new HJT log, tell me about any malware problems.
I have never seen this
complete system scan found more than 100 security issues that norton internet security 2006 didn't detect....
but I will guess they are probably cookies that would have been easily removed by the cleaner in the above instructions. I have not seen the log of this scan.

If you have issues you want me to address, follow the instructions I quoted, if you no longer have issues, I suggest this:

System Restore does not know the good files from the bad. In case bad stuff has gotten into your System Restore files, follow the instructions in this link to get clean System Restore files. Turn it off, reboot then turn it back on:

Here is some great information from Tony Klein, Texruss, ChrisRLG and Grinler to help you stay clean and safe online:
