Missing Executables

In Relation to thread http://forums.spybot.info/showthread.php?t=10269 I am having a similar problem: My Executable files have disappeared for Spybot (SpybotSD.exe) Norton Antivirus 2002 (Navapw32.exe) AVG Control Center (Avgcc.exe). They have all suddenly disappeared and am unable to reinstall any of them, they all give errors. I am also unable to Install Symantec Corporate Edition, as it doesnt give me access to the Folder Symantec Shared. I am running numerous Online Scans (Kaspersky, Panda, Trend Micro) and as of yet, there's no sign of anything.

AVG AntiVirus is not on the list as I tried to remove and reinstall but it gave me errors during the install. I would rollback using System Restore but that doesnt want to work, and hasnt for a while, so thats not associated with this. Cheers for any help you may be able to give. Terry

As I understand, Resources can be stretched. You will be happy to know that I have now resolved the Issue, so that will be one less thing to consume your time lol. I discovered that I had been the recipient of a Virus. Off hand I cannot recall the name of the said Virus, but it had hidden itself within the Local Settings Folder and disabled the majority of my AntiVirus and Spyware Programs. The Saviour: Panda ActiveScan, the Online Scan from Panda. It gave me enough information to actively search for information on the Virus and was able to me the information for where the Virus hides itself etc, and was able to remove it using KillBox! A Very Handy Tool. Thanks for any effort that may have been made in relation to this issue. Thanks Terry
