Control panel add/Remove shows black space

Hello,

My uncle asked me to help him fix his computer which was slow. He told me he had Kazza installed and he removed it. Obviously he did it wrong. When I get into Control Panels Add/remove programs it does not let me delete what is left of Kazza. Also the Add/remove screen left bar shows that there is a long list of programs. When I scroll down there is a huge Black space in between some programs. I have no Idea what that is :sad: . Hes AV was expired so I installed Bit Defender and ran it. I also ran smitfraud which I think it found something. Also ran ewido, combofix, vundofix and ATF cleaner. I ran some online AV scans just in case. Empty your Temp folders. Go to Start > Run and type:cleanmgr. Windows will scan. When done check these 3 and press *ok* to remove:

Temporary Files
Temporary Internet Files
Recycle Bin

start>settings>Control Panel> click the Internet options icon

Next:

Click on Delete Cookies.

Click on Delete Files, Make sure Delete all offline content is checked and then click on OK

click start->settings->control panel->internet options->programs tab->RESET WEB SETTINGS

i would uninstall ewido version 4.0, then reboot once. there is a new version out now, ewido was bought out by AVG:

start HJT, click on open misc tools section, then click on open uninstall manager, then save list. save the list somewhere so you can find it then post the list in next reply.

Thanks for the help! I followed your instructions it looks like Kazza is totally gone. But the huge empty space in the control panels/ Addreove programs is still there. do you have any Idea what that may be? thank you SL for the help.

RealOne Player (a useless resource hog)
LiveReg (Symantec Corporation)
LiveUpdate 1.80 (Symantec Corporation) (both part of the expired AV)

anything else you might see that no longer is used like these:
PartyPoker
QuickTime

not sure what it is, leave it.

after running the uninstalls, reboot computer.
