Smitfraudfix shows no infection, read what I posted in that first post. Once they are combined if you think you have a malware problem, follow the instructions I posted, provide the required logs and post some information about your problem which you have not done so far.

sorry about the multiple posts. after everything i have done i am still gettings a lot of "spyware" when i run spybot/adaware. java/byteverify!exploit and java/shinwow.bj are comming up on on my eztrust antivirus and doesnt look like they are being removed. i have updated java and have done everything you recomended. is there anything more i should be doing? thanks again for your help

I am starting with this HJT log. Please do not post any information I do not request, the Smitfraudfix logs are clean and I do not need to see them. I am looking at this HJT log:

Continue to post the HJT logs in normal mode unless I request otherwise.
This HJT log is showing nothing, so this is what I would like you to do and in the numbered order.
1) * Clean your Cache and Cookies in IE: Close all instances of Outlook Express and Internet Explorer
Go to Control Panel > Internet Options > General tab
Click the "Delete Cookies" button
Next to it, Click the "Delete Files" button
When prompted, place a check in: "Delete all offline content", click OK* Clean your Cache and Cookies in Firefox (In case you also have Firefox installed): Go to Tools > Options.
Click Privacy in the menu on the left side of the Options window.
Click the Clear button located to the right of each option (History, Cookies, Cache).
Click OK to close the Options window
Alternatively, you can clear all information stored while browsing by clicking Clear All.
A confirmation dialog box will be shown before clearing the information.* Clean other Temporary files + Recycle bin Go to start > run and type: cleanmgr and click ok.
Let it scan your system for files to remove.
Make sure Temporary Files, Temporary Internet Files, and Recycle Bin are the only things checked.
Press OK to remove them.
How to Clean a Java Cache Folder
In some rare cases a few infected files and archives with infected files are detected inside Java cache folder. The location of this folder usually is:
C:\Documents and Settings\<user_name>\Application Data\Sun\Java\Deployment\cache\
Removing infection
To empty the cache folder, access it with Windows Explorer. Select all files and subfolders and then press the "Delete" button on a keyboard, or select the File->Delete menu option. As this folder contains only cached files, no actual data is lost in the operation.
WARNING! Please be careful when deleting files. Make sure that you are deleting files only inside the Java cache folder, otherwise you may damage your system!

3) You have AVG Anti-Spyware onboard, follow the directions in this like, make sure you delete or at least quarantine anything found. Save the scan report to post.

here are the logs. the only thing i can add at this time is that i can not turn off windows firewall. it is all grayed out and i can not change the setting. i have researched it and have yet to discover a solution. other than that, thanks again.

the only thing i can add at this time is that i can not turn off windows firewall.
I see you have a firewall running here: C:\Program Files\CA\eTrust EZ Armor\eTrust EZ Firewall\ca.exe
When you open the Security Center are you saying that the Windows SP2 Firewall is also activated and that you can not turn it off? We do not want two firewalls running at once.

UN-Check *Turn off System Restore*.
Click Apply, and then click OK.
AVG Anti-Spyware is a good program but it does use some resources. Once the trial is over you can update and use the scanner for as long as you wish, but unless you purchase it you should turn it off completely so it does not run unless you start it manually.
