Hi

Im not to familur with the program, Its part of the ms office program
C:\PROGRAM FILES\NETSHOW SERVICES\TOOLS\REXPROXY.EXE

I can do without it, but I'm scared to delete it. Will my system crash???

Also, something strange has happened with my downloading ability. Not only can I NOT download but I can't view items I used to be able to.

Look at attached link: http://www.usatoday.com/

see that box in the upper right corner that keeps changing with bullet points. I can nolonger view that. Why?

I keep getting an IE explorer error message.

Try uninstalling those programs to see if they coused the problems
Did you ?

You can also try internet explorers repair option, start its uninstall via addremove programs and use the repair option.

Is the IE error message the one I've attached below?

What do you see on the usatoday page, only part of the box or nothing but background?

Do you recall making changes to your IE Security settings for the Internet Zone? I found that setting this to High caused the error message I attached and the images and flashing bullets to disappear on the usatoday page.

To fix this, while in an IE browser window:

Click 'Tools' and select 'Internet Options'
Click the Security tab
Make sure that the Internet Zone icon is highlighted
In the 'Security level for this zone' box click the 'Default level' button
Click 'Apply' then 'OK'

Now try both the usatoday page and downloads and let us know the results.

Please post the exact error message you get when attempting to download.

Also, if you could use Alt-PrintScrn on the usatoday page and paste it into MS Paint so you can crop a portion of the screeen, save it as a jpg file. and attach it to your next post. This should allow you to get enough of the screen so we can see what you're seeing. I don't see white, instead the background in that area is blue.

Have you tried Lonny's last suggestions just above mine?

Looking back at your earlier posts I see you have Win 95 and IE 5.51 SP2 correct?
Platform: Windows 95 B (Win9x 4.00.1212)
MSIE: Internet Explorer v5.51 SP2 (5.51.4807.2300)

If so, I don't think you can do some of the things both Lonny and I have been asking. We're used to seeing IE 6 on at least Win 98 OS, usually Win XP.

Why don't you provide the last information I requested please. Both the exact download error message and what you're seeing on the usatoday screen may tell us something we've missed.

I'm not sure how capable the Windows 95 version of Microsoft Paint was, so I've attached a cropped copy of the usatoday screen I see, cut and pasted from the larger screen. If you can't save the file as a 'jpg' or jpeg' type, I doubt you can get it below the 39 kb size maximum for an attached file here.
