Help please! Suspected Infection

Hello all.
In an attempt to find some help, I stumbled across this forum (from the Hijackthis website) and I let a sigh out a sigh of relief; finally, a place where i might be able to get some help (:
As far as my issue goes, I've noticed that my computer is starting to stutter and hang a bit more than usual, more than should be happening. Trying to first solve my own problem, I ran msconfig and took a list at the startup programs; there I found two very suspicious (to me at least) programs:
"W" (like literally, all it has is the letter W)
" "(and literally, a complete blank spot, although it does have a file path, it bears no name? lol) *just for the record, neither file contains ""
I did a quick search on background tasks and found that the W is most likely a virus, while I could find absolutely no information on the (blank spot) file. Both files are in the SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run for the record. Below is my hijackthis log file. Thanks in advance!
Also, Trendsoft Homescan? or something of that nature (the online scanner) closes out my browser in both IE and Firefox, on both the Java and ActiveX kernels
And another edit: The W file and the ( ) file might not be listed in the hijack log, as I took the liberty of disabling both from the startup (through msconfig) after discovering them (most likely in vain, but still)

Welcome to the forum, I apologize but I just do not understand what you said. It appears you missed this very important information since I see no antivirus scan results: "BEFORE you POST" -Preliminary Steps

I see this item: i-hate-keyloggers.exe and have no idea why it is there, here is the google:

A few dead lines and some grayware that may cause advertising popups, but nothing else. Before I consider proceeding, would you please take the time to read the directions I posted, and then attempt to explain what your problem is so I can understand it. (if you have a problem) If you receive any error messages, post them word for word.
