Hi:
I'm new to Spybot. I have 2 computers. One is an old, cheap pentium that is connected to the internet. The other is a very high-powered rocket that is __never__ connected to the internet.

I've installed and updated Spybot 1.4 on the old pentium. I've also installed Spybot on the rocket, but it is the original 1.4, with no updates.
I have over 1500GB of data on the rocket. (8 hard drives).

Is it possible to somehow keep the Spybot 1.4 on my rocket updated?

It seems to me that Spybot only works with auto-installs. Is it possible to get manual updates, copy them to cd, transfer them to the rocket, and then manually install them?

Thank you!

Hello.

For the manual updates see "detection updates"
http://www.safer-networking.org/en/download/index.html

Hope that helps. :)

Two options if you do not want to connect it to the internet.

1) Download the updates onto your older PC, they can be found here http://www.safer-networking.org/en/download/index.html and put them onto USB disk or CD

2) download the updates onto older PC, unplug the internet and plug a crossover cable and copy it accross.

3) Connect it to the internet and get decent Anti-Virus, Anti-Spyware programs and stay away from boredom surfing (going to pages you don't know)

I'll ask this here rather than start a new thread

I've tried to update spybot on two different cpu
that are both on dial-up connections in two different states
with same results Bad Check Sums
is this problem because of dial-up speeds or what
