Hi here is my HJT log(from safe mode):
I tried to get a smitfraudfix log but I got a blue screen crash. I have already been able to get rid of some stuff with vundofix.: (ssttt.dll, tttss.ini, ebmgvcmx.dll)
I can't figure out how to get rid of wvuutuu.dll
please help!

Oh... I have also tried system restore twice and it errors out. It goes through the whole process but after rebooting it says it cannot complete it.
I am trying to use AVG rootkit now.
Ok... I think I got rid of the rootkit. AVG returned a clean scan.
I got a virus warning from trendmicro about freeloader_smitfraud in two of my _restore/... registry keys so I disabled system restore and hopefully I got rid of those.

I would appreciate any hel I can get in analyzing my system now to see if it is clean. There are still a few things I am suspicious about:
O20 - Winlogon Notify: WgaLogon - C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\WgaLogon.dll
but maybe its ok...
argh... 12 hours of work so far!!!!
In short what I have done so far:
- Run HijackThis and delete several suspicous entries(the dll's that keep regenerating and BHO's) ssttt.dll, wvuutuu.dll
- Run TrendMicro interent security scan and have quantined and deleted many viruses and swyware/adware
-Run SPybot S/D to try and get rid of BHO's and autoruns(and click run at startup to get rid of stuff that couldn't be delted)
-Run Registrycleaner to get rid of invalid entries
-Run SMitfraudfix and clean everything including the registry
-Run VundoFix to get rid of ssttt.dll, tttss.ini, ebmgvcmx.dll
-Run Microsoft malicious software removal tool it found Troj Rbot.gen and couldn't delete at first, but it seems to be gone now
-Run KillBox to try and get rid of wvuutuu.dll , and run it with delte at startup.
-Repeat the above about 10 times, sometimes in safemode and sometimes in normal mode.
My last smitfraudfix scan came seemingly clean, Spybot, trendmicro, and microsoft malicious saftware removal tools are not finding anything
Is there anything I should be worried about now?
Oh... I have also gone through with ATF_cleaner to clear out my temp files several times too.

Well, everything seems normal. Except I had wvuutuu.dll show up in a folder C:\!Submit\wvuutuu.dll.
I deleted it no problem. I just have to rerun all my scans, which I will do tonight since they take so long.
It just seems like this was such a serious infection. I have never seen anything like it. I am considering a reformat and starting from scratch, but that may be an even bigger hassle. I have only had my computer a month!
I just have the feeling that there is still some funny stuff going on in my computer, just waiting to jump back out. I am scared to check my bank/credit card accounts from this computer now!

I tried to find the ...\SMITFRAUDFIX\SWXCACLS.EXE file and it wasn't there.
I have these files backed up on DVD and just scanned that to see if the same thing happened and it did.
Any ideas on wht all this means?

Those files are false positives, you may just ignore them.
We'll run a one more scanner:
Please do an online scan with Kaspersky WebScanner (http://www.kaspersky.com/virusscanner)
Click on Kaspersky Online Scanner
You will be promted to install an ActiveX component from Kaspersky, Click Yes.
The program will launch and then begin downloading the latest definition files:
Once the files have been downloaded click on NEXT
Now click on Scan Settings
In the scan settings make that the following are selected:
Scan using the following Anti-Virus database:
Extended (if available otherwise Standard)
Scan Options:
Scan Archives
Scan Mail Bases
Click OK
Now under select a target to scan:Select My Computer
This will program will start and scan your system.
The scan will take a while so be patient and let it run.
Once the scan is complete it will display if your system has been infected.
Now click on the Save as Text button:
Save the file to your desktop.
Copy and paste that information in your next post.

I ended up getting reinfected since my scans couldn't detect the source file for the infection. I know.. I know... I should have been more carefull!
I ended up using 'dell restore' which apparently put my PC back to the state it was in when I took it out of the box. Everything seems normal now and I get a fresh start. If you know of any way that I could still be vulnerable, like maybe do you know if dell restore leaves anything behind, or if it can be infected itself?
