Worm/VB.AUG

I had an alert to the fact I had contracted a worm (Worm/VB.AUG) today.

I tried to heal it but it's unhealable - and now in my virus vault. I'm still infected, though.

I have used as many search engines as I can think of to try to find a solution but this worm isn't mentioned anywhere - except on spybot forums. I didn't find anything on how to deal with it, though.

Does anyone have any ideas on how I can remove this worm from my laptop, please?

I've looked into this further and all I've managed to find is the full name of the trojan.

It's Backdoor.Win32.VB.aug but as for finding something to help me remove it, I've drawn a blank.

Anyway, I thought I'd let you have the full name of the trojan, just in case someone comes across it and can help me :)

Welcome to the forum, I can not help much from the limited information you have made available, and won't know if I can help until you provide more. Keep in mind, until you find out what you are dealing with, these backdoor trojans can access all information on your computer. Here is some information you may want to consider:
