HI i have done a full system scan using spybot SD, Norton Anti Virus and Ad-aware SE. As stated on the title, whenever i log onto the internet and enter a webpage i get redirected to varous sites (eg.wordsea.com,btcar.comcasinocaesar.com, etc). I suspect its some DNSHijack but i do not know how to resolve the problem.

Here is my hijackthis.log

Welcome to Safer Networking, please be sure you have read an followed these instructions:
"BEFORE you POST" Mandatory Steps Before Requesting Assistance
http://forums.spybot.info/showthread.php?t=288
I understand if you have tried to run an online scan and could not with the redirections and I may need that done later. You are hijcked by these lowlifes:
http://whois.domaintools.com/85.255.114.195 and you can remove them from your computer if you will folllow the directions carefully, and in the numbered order.

Before I start, I wish to point out I see no active, realtime spyware program running? If this is the case and you need help with a free ons, please let me know.

Thanks to LonnyBJones and anyone else who helped with this fix.

1) Please download FixWareout from one of these sites:
http://downloads.subratam.org/Fixwareout.exe
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/files/lonny/Fixwareout.exe

Save it to your Desktop and run it. Click Next, then Install, make sure "Run fixit" is checked and click Finish.
The fix will begin; follow the prompts.
You will be asked to reboot your computer; please do so.
Your system may take longer than usual to load; this is normal.
Once the desktop loads post the text that will open (report.txt) and a new Hijackthis log in the forum please.

(save the reports and logs until we finish)

2) Please download ATF Cleaner by Atribune
http://www.atribune.org/content/view/25/2/
Save it to your Desktop. We will use this later.

3) Open HijackThis and choose "Do a system scan only" then check the box in front of these line items:

O17 - HKLM\System\CCS\Services\Tcpip\..\{43ECE900-0F93-4777-914E-C74CF415D01A}: NameServer = 85.255.114.195,85.255.112.139
O17 - HKLM\System\CCS\Services\Tcpip\..\{6D385369-1AAA-4B41-AC9D-6DB0D3C71124}: NameServer = 85.255.114.195,85.255.112.139
O17 - HKLM\System\CS1\Services\Tcpip\Parameters: NameServer = 85.255.114.195 85.255.112.139
O17 - HKLM\System\CS1\Services\Tcpip\..\{43ECE900-0F93-4777-914E-C74CF415D01A}: NameServer = 85.255.114.195,85.255.112.139
O17 - HKLM\System\CCS\Services\Tcpip\Parameters: NameServer = 85.255.114.195 85.255.112.139

Close all programs but HJT and all browser windows, then click on "Fix Checked"

4) Run ATF Cleaner
Double-click ATF-Cleaner.exe to run the program.
Click Select All found at the bottom of the list.
Click the Empty Selected button.
Click Exit on the Main menu to close the program.

Restart the computer and post the report from Fixwareout, a new HJT log and let me know how the computer is running. Use Post Reply, stay in this same topic.

Thanks

HI, i have done the following as stated in the instructions given in the reply. This is the log file as requested. Everything seems fine now and thanks alot. However, i'm puzzled about the realtime spyware program. I don't really have any idea what's that. I would appreciate if someone introduce me to such programme and give me information about what it does. I was only reccommended Ad-aware, Norton Internet Antivirus and Spybot S&D by my computer technician. Sorry i'm really very new to computer related infomation.

Thanks for returning your information and the feedback, I will try to answer your questions before we finish.

This HJT Log looks ok but you have not posted the complete Fixwareout report? There will be more to it, look in the Fixwareout folder and copy and paste the results in the report.txt notepad, there is information there that will assure me nothing is hidden.

Let me start with a little information: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Malware
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=what+is+malware&btnG=Search

You may want to have your tech view this information also. Some antivirus programs also control malware (spyware, adware, etc) but I believe your Norton program is only concerned with viruses, ask Norton tech support if you are unsure. Understand that it does this in "realtime", it is running and if a virus tries to access your computer, hopefully it will be stopped. Your firewall also runs in realtime, ready to block unauthorized attempts to access your computer via ports. Spybot/Ad-Aware while great programs, neither runs and are used to remove the adware and some of the worse junk also at times after it is on the computer. Here is some additional information to look through:
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=realtime+malware+protection&btnG=Search

Microsoft offers freeware Protection here: http://www.microsoft.com/athome/security/spyware/software/default.mspx
Read about it and you will spot this:
It features Real-Time Protection, a monitoring system that recommends actions against spyware when it's detected and minimizes interruptions and helps you stay productive.
This may answer more questions: http://www.microsoft.com/athome/security/spyware/software/about/faq.mspx

While I would prefer to view that Fixwareout report, I can live without seeing it. It is for your benefit I wished to be 100% sure wareout was removed.

System Restore does not know the good files from the bad. In case bad stuff has gotten into your System Restore files, follow the instructions in this link to get clean System Restore files. Turn it off, reboot then turn it back on:
http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT/tsgeninfo.nsf/docid/2001111912274039?Open&src=sec_doc_nam

Here is some great information from Tony Klein, Texruss, ChrisRLG and Grinler to help you stay clean and safe online:

Hmm, sorry for taking so long to reply, i can only help my dad fix his computer when i'm free. Really sorry for that.

I tried to get the Fixwareout txt file however i still get the same information

换换?End report 换换?

I went to the folder of fixwareout and open the report.txt-notepad as mentioned, but that's the only few 'words' i see in the text file x_X... Not sure if something went wrong...

Since this is not my computer, i'm not sure if there's some other problems with this compter to result to such report. (My dad just click on everything he sees in his e-mail...x_X even after being told not to do so...)
