About a week ago a member of my family accidently downloaded a virus onto my computer. At the time of download the virus was creating a lot of pop-ups that advertised security software. We didn't click them. We ran Norton, no help.

I used the systems disk, and the problem seemed fixed, but after a few days Norton began to go crazy, attacking everything that used the internet. I use Mozilla btw. Norton wouldn't let me connect, and kept popping up warning after warning until it crashed. It wouldn't even let itself update, it called itself a threat.

I uninstalled Norton and put on AVG, which caught a Zlob trojan and deleted it. I then ran another scan that detected Zlob and Spydawn, but was unable to fix.

Also, the wireless network throughout our house is going in and out. On the infected machine the internet is always out, and says disabled. It asks me for a password to connect but times out.

Do you recognize this problem? I will run hijackthis and post later.

Thank you very much!
