Hi everyone - first time poster so sorry if I dont get everything right.

Anyway I have been searching the forums regarding Smitfraud-C. and really just need some assistance removing from my computer. I am running version 1.4 and last detection update was 2007-03-07.

I have 18 entries.

Sorry in addition to this I am running XP and have Kaspersky as a Anti-Virus, I also run spy sweeper and Ad-aware... and do regular Windows defender scans. Thanks

I see nothing in the HJT log and you have not provided the antivirus scan results required in the "Before you Post" instructions. Since you mention Smitfraud which is mostly hidden from HJT we will have to start like this:

Search:
Double-click SmitfraudFix.exe
Select 1 and hit Enter to create a report of the infected files. The report can be found at the root of the system drive, usually at C:\rapport.txt

Note: process.exe is detected by some antivirus programs (AntiVir, Dr.Web, Kaspersky) as a "RiskTool". It is not a virus, but a program used to stop system processes. Antivirus programs cannot distinguish between "good" and "malicious" use of such programs, therefore they may alert the user.

Restart the computer and post the C:\rapport.txt from Smitfraudfix and any comments you think will help.
