Is there a date when there will be a final release of Spybot 1.5?

Are we getting close of moving out of Beta for 1.4?

:)

Hi there poppylove.

To clarify:
http://forums.spybot.info/showthread.php?t=9474

We are proud to announce new versions of miscellaneous tools are now available for beta testing! The tools are betas, the Spybot-S&D program V1.4 is a Final.

Spybot-S&D version 1.5 will be released when ready. ;)

Cheers.

poppylove, currently there is NO definitive date for the final release of Spybot 1.5. please wait longer for it to come out. or if you want, you can beta test the current beta of spybot 1.5 to see how well it works on your computers. ;)

I'm getting the feeling that some users are eager for the final version of spybot 1.5 to be ready. right now, the makers of Spybot are still working on fixing the problems found in the beta versions of spybot 1.5 which takes time, perhaps a lot of time.

The delay is primarily Vista, since there's little in the existing Spybot S&D main program that needs to change for previous versions of Windows, except the known bug with Win 95.

Beyond that would be feature enhancements to any of the components, including those already being tested with TeaTimer and also the known bugs.

Before you start asking me how quickly to expect the new version, don't bother. I have no idea since I have nothing to do with development, I have simply read everything about what's being worked on in the Beta forum and can see that radical changes have to occur with the scanner, updater and tools as well as their supporting files.

To be perfectly clear, you'll see the final version of the upgrade when it's ready to release. This has always been the pattern with Spybot, since it's not driven by any specific schedule that I've ever seen.
