View Full Version : Help I need Malware Help LOOK
i got 3 files i have no clue how i got them but i know for a fact they are viruses.... they are Cawd.exe Ytkd.exe NcBp.exe all 0bytes and being used by another person or program... mcafee sucks and couldnt get rid of it .. zonealarm cant get rid of it... PrevX1 says they can.. but in all reality they are lieng and should get sued.... some 1 help me with this ... oh yueah and my comp will crash everyonce in a while....

Run Spybot-S&D in safe mode as explained.
Post the results of the on-line anti virus scan, and the HJT into this topic, and a helper will advise you as soon as available.

This is all i know for right now i am currently running a online virus scan... but im sure it will not show up anything because i already used Mcafee and ZoneAlarm. This is what i think is wrong C://Cawd.Exe and C:// NcBp.Exe and YTkd.exe ... but when the online scan just ran it had an error with Vsmon.exe and could not read that memory =/ so i dun know just tell me when to post HJT and ONLINE scan results and i gladly will :bigthumb:

This is my HJT report... i did a panda online virus scan... there was no report for that... It just stated that it didnt find anything on my computer.
I have Allday and i will be looking at this everyonce in a while so plz help me and thank u so much.
oh by the way... these are some weird files that i got on my comp i really would like to know what they do they got some WEIRD properties...
Cawd.EXe , YTKd.Exe , NcBp.exe they are all 0bytes but ahve a load of properties that make it work or something. and when i turned all the properties that i thought were making my comp crash.. it created a new file a MSDos file copy of its self LOL so i dont know. but uh i think something might be wrong with my %sytem Root%\system32\autoexec.nt AND config.nt arenet supposed to be there idk looks fishy so my question is ... is it?
I did use it in safemode and it didnt find anything.... :scratch:

Download and install AVG Anti-Spyware (ewido). Then scan and post the report here.

Rescan with HJT and post a new log here.
Describe how your computer behaves at the moment.
Also in notepad click format and make sure word wrap is unchecked.

We will need to disable TeaTimer
1) Run Spybot-S&D
2) Go to the Mode menu, and make sure "Advanced Mode" is selected
3) On the left hand side, choose Tools -> Resident
4) Uncheck "Resident TeaTimer" and OK any prompts
5) Restart your computer.
Close all programs leaving only HijackThis running. Place a check against each of the following,

I think i still have problems with my comp.. with those weird files in my C: drive... Can u help me Find out how to delete them cuz i dont have enough access even on Admin on safemode....Or it is being used by another person or program thatswht i think the main problem is.

It is important to remove older versions as these are the ones with the holes in them.
You will be surprised when you go to add/remove to see all of the versions sitting there.

ok i looked at my add or remove programs and i deleted Java runtime ver.9 just incase and im going to redownload it.
but yes here are the File directorys for them weird files i think u shoudl take a look at them because they have a Properties section when u right click and it has a bunch of stuff that looks like it could harm something...
here is where they are located.. C://Cawd.exe , C://Ytkd.exe , C://NcBp.exe they are all in the main C: folder just sitting alone not in any other file folder. they do not have any logo to the picture just the white blank screen withthe blue top. this is truly what i think is messing up my computer. because when i play Diablo II it will minimize out of nowhere like it wants to Crash u know? but on the other hand when i play Starcraft/Broodwar it crashes my comp. is there anyother testing programs to find if anything else is wrong... i also have a messed up registry i think...

The Avenger must be run from a user account with administrator privileges,

The above script is for this user only, if you need help please start your own thread.
Start the Avenger.
Under "Script file to execute" choose "Input Script Manually".
Click on the Magnifying Glass icon which will open a new window titled "View/edit script".
Paste the entire text in into this window.
Click done, now click on the Green Light
Answer "Yes" twice when prompted.
Your computer shoud reboot, and briefly open a black command window on your desktop, this is normal.
After the restart, it will create a log file that should open.
This log file will be located at C:\avenger.txt
Paste the contents of the file into your reply along with a fresh HJT log.
Also: Avenger has made backups of all the files, etc., that you asked it to delete, located at C:\avenger\backup.zip.

I still dont understand this my computer keeps crashing for no apparent reason i think i still have problems with my computer... Like heres an example. i went to bed last night left my computer on, no games or anything else was on only zonealarm and avg anti spyware. I still have problems with my computer crashing is there anything else we can do? and it has a slow startup also....

Click \start\run\then type in or copy and paste in
sfc /scannow not the space between c and /
You must be logged on as a member of the Administrators group to run sfc.
If sfc discovers that a protected file has been overwritten, it retrieves the correct version of the file from the
%systemroot%\system32\dllcache folder, and then replaces the incorrect file.
