View Full Version : dumb question about displayed filenames

Sorry for dumbness, I'm a newbie. When spybot runs, down in the bottom it displays running botcheck with varying filenames. I thought those were the names of files it was looking at, and some look very suspicious to me, like goldenpalace.casino and teenxxx (no way have I been any place like those deliberately and only I and my cat have access to my computer.)

However, spybot says it detects no problems. If I search from C: including hidden files and folders, I do not find files including those phrases in their names. I've deleted all temporary Internet files before searching.

Can anyone tell me what is going on here? Thanks.

Hello Karen Anne,

This is only the status bar displaying the products Spybot - Search & Destroy is currently searching for. It does not mean that all these items are on your PC.
So...don't worry.
