:)

When Resident detects an important registry change how do you determine whether to allow or deny the change. Clicking on the Information Tab results in No Info Available.

The latest one detected is !AVG Anti-Spyware (see below for screen shot).

I would normally assume that this should be allowed but what stopped me was the ! before AVG. What is this ?

Also, how and why does Resident detect these reg changes ??

The ! is there because that is how it is named:
!Avg Anti-spyware
See Castlecops start-up list:
http://www.castlecops.com/s13378-AVG_Anti_Spyware.html
Teatimer is reporting that your startup entry for AVG-Antispyware is being deleted.I don't have AVG anti-spyware right in front of me right now,so I can't remember exactly what that startup entry is/does,but what were you doing at the time that teatimer popped that up,anything with AVG anti-spyware,or did Teatimer just sort of pop-up out of nowhere?

There's a section in here about teatimer that should help explain the how and why it detects reg changes:
http://forums.spybot.info/showthread.php?t=281

If you click on Teatimer's ? mark button,it should open the help file, which has some suggestions for deciding whether to Allow or Deny a change.
