Scrambled Teatime chat

Hi all

Can anyone help with this:

When "my" Teatimer detects a registry change, eg on installation/update of some software, a dialogue box comes up. The only problem in my case is that the information/display at the bottom of this dialogue box is scrambled so that I can't see what the prompt are or even where they are! The only option I have is to deny the registry change. I can do this by closing the dialogue box. I've tried clicking other areas of the dialogue box but the result is the same: denial of the change.

Oddly, it doesn't seem to make much difference! For instace, I've just updated Zonealarm, which seems to work like a reinstall. The registry change was denied, as above, by Teatimer, but the installation seems to have proceed normally andf all appears fine!

So:
1. How can I get an unscrambled dialogue box?
2. Why doesn't a registry change denial such as I've described screw installations up?

2.I'm not sure,never had that happen.Could look at your resident log,I guess,and see what exactly was denied.Maybe just part of the Zone Alarm update was denied,or some such thing.Worth a shot,I guess.
Please right-click on Teatimer (down by the clock)and select show log,and then copy the end part of it (with the Zone Alarm denial included),then paste it here.

That didn't screw your installation up because it just had to do with startup('deleted in System Startup global entry!').When Teatimer popped up,it was detecting that the startup entry for 'Zone Labs Client' in the registry was about to be deleted,and Teatimer was asking you to Allow or Deny the change.Since you denied the change(by closing Teatimer),you just denied Zone Labs Client being deleted from startup-e.g.,Zone Labs Client would continue to run as it did before after you startup your computer.hth :)
