SmitFraud?

[Ultrap3]

Have spent the last day & half removing dozens of assorted nasties from a friends PC and I cannot shift one, Smitfraud-c. It is detected by Spybot S&D but cannot delete it.

I have also run AVG 7.5 (Ewido), and also tried SmitFraud Fix to no avail.

Welcome to the forum, it seems you missed these important instructions: "BEFORE you POST" Mandatory Steps Before Requesting Assistance

Especially the part concerning this:

Update Your Windows XP.
You are currently using an unpatched version of Windows XP.
Before attempting to remove malware, it is CRITICAL that you update to Service Pack 1a.
Get SP1a here : http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/updates/sp1/default.mspx
You should also get SP2, but NOT NOW, rather only after your machine is clean.
After updating your Windows to SP1a, post a new HijackThis log please, using the Post Reply button.
