I need some help....I am getting the following error on my HP Pavilion running Media Center 2005 with all patches. It happens when I log in.

Error when booting.

the dialog box at the top is titled...

RTHDCPL.EXE - Illegal System DLL Relocation

The system DLL user32.dll was relocated in memory. The application will not run properly.

THe relocation occurred because the DLL C:\WINDOWS\system32\HHCTRL.OCX occupied an address

range reserved for Windows system DLLs. The vendor supplying the DLL should be contacted for a new DLL.

Here is the log file

Hi

Open HijackThis, click do a system scan only and checkmark these:

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Alcmtr] ALCMTR.EXE
O15 - Trusted Zone: http://*.trymedia.com (HKLM)

Close all windows including browser and press fix checked.

Reboot

Post a fresh HijackThis log.

5) Final Run:
Towards the end of a cleanup please make sure you follow through with any final log requested even if it appears to you that your computer is back to normal operation.
As much as we like our members ;) we would rather not see you back in a few weeks because there was no follow up with the helper.
