At the present time, do not run Trend Micro HijackThis v2.0.0 (BETA) to produce a log for this forum, unless specifically requested, or you have a Vista Operating System.

If you downloaded a zipped HJT file unzip it to the permanent folder so you have C:\hijackthis\hijackthis.exe.
Example of the wrong way:
C:\DOCUME~1\Name\LOCALS~1\Temp\Temporary Directory for hijackthis.zip\HijackThis.exe
Running hjt from the wrong folder may delay assistance as your helper will have to ask for a new log.

An on-line scan is not the same as using your resident anti-virus program, which is why we ask to see the results of an on-line scanner.
Please post the results even if the scan does not find anything, the information may be useful to the person who assists you.

Would you like to start again and I will remove this topic so you have zero replies?

Also it would be helpful if you described, in detail, the problems you are experiencing. Rather than a general my computer is getting slower everyday. ;)
A helper would be more likely to pick it up.
