hi,
My computer is running very slow for a while now and since this week i tried to do something about it. I've downloaded: hitman pro 2, spyware doctor, spywareblaster, speedupmypc, ccleaner, cwshredder, spybot- search and destroy, ad-aware se and registry booster. I scanned my computer with those programs a couple time (they also found some infected files), but still my computer is very slow.

So i searched on the internet what i could do and the first thing i found was to check what programs start up with my pc(with msconfig in run). There i found wkssvc32 wich i removed (i think) with HostsXpert and gencturkfix. but in the screen from gencturkfix stood some text with FAIL behind it for about 8-10 lines (i'm not sure for the first try but at the second two times i'm sure everywhere stood FAIL), so i'm not sure if it worked. But it's gone in the list of the programs that start up with my pc.

And still my pc is very slow so i would like someone to check the hijacklog i made.

i hope someone can help me, thanks in advance,

Rutger

Welcome to the forum, I do not see the required antivirus scan, did you see the instructions? "BEFORE you POST" Mandatory Steps Before Requesting Assistance
http://forums.spybot.info/showthread.php?t=288

Follow these instructions:

1) How to make files and folders visible:
Click Start > Open My Computer.
Select the Tools menu and click Folder Options.
Select the View Tab. Under the Hidden files and folders heading, select Show hidden files and folders.
Uncheck: Hide file extensions for known file types
Uncheck the Hide protected operating system files (recommended) option.
Click Yes to confirm. Click OK.
You may reverse this for safety when we are finished.

2) Please download ATF Cleaner by Atribune
http://www.atribune.org/content/view/25/2/
Save it to your Desktop. We will use this later.

3) Disable the Service
Click Start > Run and type services.msc
Scroll down to DirectX common and right click on it.
Click Properties and under Service Status click Stop, then under Startup Type change it to Disabled.

4) Open HijackThis and choose "Do a system scan only" then check the box in front of these line items:

R0 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Local Page =

O23 - Service: DirectX common - Unknown owner - C:\WINDOWS\system32\dxwizard.exe (file missing)

Close all programs but HJT and all browser windows, then click on "Fix Checked"

5) RIGHT Click on Start then click on Explore. Locate and delete these items:

C:\WINDOWS\system32\dxwizard.exe <<< delete that file

6) Run ATF Cleaner
Double-click ATF-Cleaner.exe to run the program.
Click Select All found at the bottom of the list.
Click the Empty Selected button.
Click Exit on the Main menu to close the program.

Restart the computer and post a new HJT log, let me know how the computer is running. Once you post,. then have a look at the information in this link:

thanks for helping,

at first, i didn't run the panda online scan yet, do i still need to run it?

now to the instructions, at point 3 u asked to stop DirectX common, but it was already stopped but i had to changed it to Disabled.

and at point 4 i couldn't find "O23 - Service: DirectX common - Unknown owner - C:\WINDOWS\system32\dxwizard.exe (file missing)". it didn't stand between it.
and at point 5 the same problem, there was no file named C:\WINDOWS\system32\dxwizard.exe

but i followed the rest of the instructions and here is my HJT-log:

Thanks for the feedback, I hate the stuff so much, sometimes I remove it several times. Your HJT log looks clean how's the computer running?

System Restore does not know the good files from the bad. In case bad stuff has gotten into your System Restore files, follow the instructions in this link to get clean System Restore files. Turn it off, reboot then turn it back on:

Here is some great information from Tony Klein, Texruss, ChrisRLG and Grinler to help you stay clean and safe online:
