Hi,

I've got a horride problem with my mates computer! She asked me to look at her laptop and I thought it would be a simple run of AVG, but sadly not! I was in the middle of re-booting out of safe mode after running Spybot and I got the bluescreen of death! I managed to get out of that by using the windows repair console.

Another problem I used a different key to when restoring windows and now AVG free says the licence isn't valid and I can't seem to uninstall or reinstall...which isn't good either!!

Sadly all the orginal problems seem to still be on it too  , another problem is that when the computer turns on a error message comes up saying RUNDLL error...(I'll update the post in a minute when I restart with the error!)

I used Panda online scan, the log is:

OK, Dave, I did not see anything but dead lines in the HJT log and cookies in the Panda scan. Since you mentioned the issues with AVG Anti-Virus, I need to post this information for you in the event you have not corrected this problem:

You are running two antivirus programs at the same time and this is not a good thing. They conflict with each other and you will be less safe than if you ran one good program and maintained it properly.
http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT/nav.nsf/docid/2000031316555206
"Microsoft recommends that you have only one anti-virus program installed on your computer."
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2005/12/03/AR2005120300087.html
http://www.smartcomputing.com/editorial/article.asp?article=articles/2003/s1407/38s07/38s07.asp

If you want me to look at a final HJT log, I would be glad to, if not...safe surfing:bigthumb:

Thanks
