Regular runs of Spybot found this and fixed it, but then it turned up again. So, I ran an online scan, but Trend Micro found nothing. Next, I went into SafeMode and fixed Zlob, when it came up in red. A second SafeMode search found nothing.

Would one of the experts please take a look at the Hijack This log, to make sure all is now well?

And – another question - how much does this version of Zlob compromise a machine?

Mozilla Firefox is on by default, but sometimes I have to resort to IE for sites that don’t work with Firefox.

The log looks good.

Please do an online scan with Kaspersky WebScanner (http://www.kaspersky.com/virusscanner)

Click on Kaspersky Online Scanner

You will be promted to install an ActiveX component from Kaspersky, Click Yes.
The program will launch and then begin downloading the latest definition files:
Once the files have been downloaded click on NEXT

Now click on Scan Settings
In the scan settings make that the following are selected:
Scan using the following Anti-Virus database:
Extended (if available otherwise Standard)

Scan Options:
Scan Archives
Scan Mail Bases

Click OK
Now under select a target to scan:Select My Computer

This will program will start and scan your system.
The scan will take a while so be patient and let it run.
Once the scan is complete it will display if your system has been infected.
Now click on the Save as Text button:
Save the file to your desktop.
Copy and paste that information in your next post.

Thank you so much! I have run the Kapersky and the results are pasted in below. The more I read about this trojan, the worse it sounds. And I thought I was being careful when online! I don't do adult sites, so how else could I be infected? My Java was out of date. I updated it after a Spybot scan found Zlob and I started looking at things more thoroughly. Would the Java account for the vulnerability? Maybe I missed some other update?

Anyway, many thanks. for all the help. I have not been a forum-reader, but I am now!
