Last month I tried to update something on my computer and since that time have had problems with accessing some programs and the internet (Internet Explorer). I recently downloaded and ran Avira AntiVirus and Spybot and AdAware. The Spybot and Avira detected some malware / trojans. Specifically, Avira detected 139 entries. Some wre called Trojan Horse TR/PSW, others Trojan Horse TR/Rootkit.gen and then there were others.

As a side note, last night I got a message when the computer was turned on from (allegedly) Microsoft saying the Users version (mine) of Wondows XP was registered by someone else then it locked me out unless I entered my credit card to re-register. Could this be a virus? I have multiple licensing for software at my company (small business, 10 employ with computers).

Can you please help?!? Beyond using some programs I am really inexperienced with this type of computer stuff.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Thank you for responding. Sprry I didn't pay attention to the "Read This Before..." THREAD.

Anyway...reran Spybot in Safe Mode, Ran TrendMicro Online Scan...but no logfile was given. It did list some items which were deleted, and also several Microsoft Security Update Issues, which I have installed.

Here is the HiJack This logfile...
