It's been installed for 2 months. Though when we had dial up we used to get booted off line every once in a while.

dont see anything in the log as far as malware goes. this probably piggy backed in with AOL:
Viewpoint Manager. its not malware but you probably didnt know it was installed
it can be removed via add/remove programs panel. up to you: see link:

We've had AOL for years. We didn't want to set up new email addresses. What would you suggest. rr.com?

sure or any other broadband provider in your area.

you might try uninstalling:
AOL TopSpeedMonitor
via add/remove programs panel.
this web accleration software rarely does what its supposed to do.
or try disabling it first, if thats possible within the software, maybe under options preferences etc.
