Yes, yes, yes, it seems like an epidemic. :funny:

I've read through a few of the other Smitfraud threads, but I didn't want to try anything on my own without the proper advice.

I have a recovery disk that I'm willing to use if need be, but that's more of a last resort. In the next day or two I'll be backing everything up. (Is that safe? Does the malware latch on to other programs?)

I ran spybot numerous times, in regular mode and safe mode. I've also ran ad-aware. The trojan at the bottom is the one that is giving me the most grief. I understand that the smitfraud is a false positive, so that isn't my first priority.

I followed most of the steps in those threads and successfully got rid of my problems. I did mess up my fingerprint scanner, but I called Toshiba and they told me how to fix it.
