Welcome to Safer Networking, if you still need help and are not receiving it elsewhere, it appears you have missed some important instructions our administrator has posted at the top of the forum, especially this: "BEFORE you POST" Mandatory Steps Before Requesting Assistance
http://forums.spybot.info/showthread.php?t=288
All advice given is taken at your own risk.
Please read and follow all instructions and post all required logs or reports, anything less will slow your process.
Use "Post Reply" to post the information in the instructions and stay in the same topic.

I am assuming the above because there is no required online antivirus scan posted. You may hold that scan unless I ask for it, but for starter you need to know you have a very infected computer here. My first suggestion is that you stay offline except when troubleshooting until we get the computer clean.

This is a backdoor trojan: C:\WINDOWS\svchost.exe The name is two generic to find the exact trojan, but your security is badly compromised, you need to know this:
You're infected, one or more of the identified infections steal information. If this system is used for online banking or has credit card information on it, all passwords should be changed immediately by using a different computer (not the infected one!) to make the changes. Banking and credit card institutions, if any, should be notified of the possible security breech. I suggest that you read this article too.
How Do I Handle Possible Identify Theft, Internet Fraud and CC Fraud?
http://www.dslreports.com/faq/10451
When Should I Format, How Should I Reinstall
http://www.dslreports.com/faq/10063

If you would like to scan that trojan to see what it is, here is a tool to do that: http://virusscan.jotti.org/

If you prefer to reformat, post to let me know, if you wish to start the cleanup process, then follow these instructions to start:

1) TeaTimer will block changes we must make, follow the instruction in this link and turn it off until we are done:
http://russelltexas.com/malware/teatimer.htm

2) http://siri.geekstogo.com/SmitfraudFix.php <<< Download Smitfraudfix from here and follow ONLY these instructions:

Search:
Double-click SmitfraudFix.exe
Select 1 and hit Enter to create a report of the infected files. The report can be found at the root of the system drive, usually at C:\rapport.txt

Note: process.exe is detected by some antivirus programs (AntiVir, Dr.Web, Kaspersky) as a "RiskTool". It is not a virus, but a program used to stop system processes. Antivirus programs cannot distinguish between "good" and "malicious" use of such programs, therefore they may alert the user.
http://www.beyondlogic.org/consulting/processutil/processutil.htm

3) Thanks to andymanchesta and anyone else who helped with the fix.

Download SDFix and save it to your Desktop.
http://downloads.andymanchesta.com/RemovalTools/SDFix.exe

Double click SDFix.exe and it will extract the files to %systemdrive%
(Drive that contains the Windows Directory, typically C:\SDFix)

Please then reboot your computer in Safe Mode by doing the following :
Restart your computer
After hearing your computer beep once during startup, but before the Windows icon appears, tap the F8 key continually;
Instead of Windows loading as normal, the Advanced Options Menu should appear;
Select the first option, to run Windows in Safe Mode, then press Enter.
Choose your usual account.
Open the extracted SDFix folder and double click RunThis.bat to start the script.
Type Y to begin the cleanup process.
It will remove any Trojan Services and Registry Entries that it finds then prompt you to press any key to Reboot.
Press any Key and it will restart the PC.
When the PC restarts the Fixtool will run again and complete the removal process then display Finished, press any key to end the script and load your desktop icons.
Once the desktop icons load the SDFix report will open on screen and also save into the SDFix folder as Report.txt
(Report.txt will also be copied to Clipboard ready for posting back on the forum).
Finally post the C:\rapport.txt from Smitfraudfix, the contents of the SDFix Report.txt and a new HijackThis log.

Thanks

Thanks for returning this information, but these were the instructions?

Finally post the C:\rapport.txt from Smitfraudfix, the contents of the SDFix Report.txt and a new HijackThis log.
I need the SDFix report and a new HJT log. Please follow the instructions carefully or let me know why you could not.

Smitfraudfix has located that infection, follow these instructions:

Clean:
Reboot your computer in Safe Mode (before the Windows icon appears, tap the F8 key continually)
Double-click SmitfraudFix.exe
Select 2 and hit Enter to delete infect files.
You will be prompted: Do you want to clean the registry ? answer Y (yes) and hit Enter in order to remove the Desktop background and clean registry keys associated with the infection.
The tool will now check if wininet.dll is infected. You may be prompted to replace the infected file (if found): Replace infected file ? answer Y (yes) and hit Enter to restore a clean file.
A reboot may be needed to finish the cleaning process. The report can be found at the root of the system drive, usually at C:\rapport.txt

Optional:
To restore Trusted and Restricted site zone, select 3 and hit Enter.
You will be prompted: Restore Trusted Zone ? answer Y (yes) and hit Enter to delete trusted zone.
Note, if you use SpywareBlaster and/or IE-SPYAD, it will be necessary to re-install the protection both afford. For SpywareBlaster, run the program and re-protect all items. For IE-SPYAD, run the batch file and reinstall the protection.

Post the SDFix Report.txt and the C:\rapport.txt from Smitfraudfix, make sure you restart the computer so all changes can go into effect, then create and post a new HijackThis log.

Thanks

Please slow down, this is your computer you are working on. You are calling SDFix the report from Smitfraudfix...

the report from smitfraudfix....
SDFix: Version 1.81

and you have posted the same C:\Report.txt from Smitfraudfix twice:

SmitFraudFix v2.172
Scan done at 20:23:13.44, Thu 05/03/2007

SmitFraudFix v2.172
Scan done at 20:23:13.44, Thu 05/03/2007

You are going to confuse me if you are not careful.

I need to see the C:\Report.txt run in Safe Mode for the "CLEAN" function.

Please also be positive that the HJT log was not run until after that "CLEAN" report and after the computer was restarted. If that is the case, I need to see the C:\Report.txt from the "CLEAN" function only.

Thanks

Please read my instructions and post only what is necessary so the topic does not get long and hard to work with. I think we have a ways to go?

Thanks

We are making progress but have a ways to go, I would like you to look at these files:
Checking For Files with Hidden Attributes:
From SDFIX posted: Today, 07:56 I am not going to copy them all, but look at these:

The first two, use this tool to scan those files: http://virusscan.jotti.org/
to find out if they are infected OR delete them. The third, clean out that Quarantine folder.

C:\Documents and Settings\Mitch\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Messenger\emmysmiles@hotmail.com\Sharing Folders\kjk_gb@hotmail.com\Thumbs.db

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\GTek\GTUpdate\AUpdate\Channels\ch1\lock.tmp

C:\Program Files\Trend Micro\Internet Security 2006\Quarantine\3.tmp

Scan these also:
C:\WINDOWS\system32\CECC31B5CE.sys
C:\WINDOWS\system32\KGyGaAvL.sys
Delete them if bad.

You have junk here: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Yazzle1122OinAdmin.exe
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Yazzle1122OinUninstaller.exe

Look in Add Remove programs for Yazzle, OIN, PurityScan, or anything else you know does not belong there and uninstall it.

Assure me this is valid: c:\dell\E-center\gtb2.exe

___________________________________________________________

Thanks to sUBs and anyone else who helped with this fix.

Download ComboFix from Here (http://www.techsupportforum.com/sectools/sUBs/ComboFix.exe) or Here (http://download.bleepingcomputer.com/sUBs/ComboFix.exe) to your Desktop.

Double click combofix.exe and follow the prompts.
When finished, it shall produce a log for you. Post that log and a HiJackthis log in your next reply

Note: Do not mouseclick combofix's window while its running. That may cause it to stall

Thanks

I removed.....C:\Program Files\Common Files\Yazzle1122OinAdmin.exe
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Yazzle1122OinUninstaller.exe

the link you gave me to check is very busy and i cannot check those files right now.

How did this computer get this infected? It's a bad as any I have seen for a while. Please read and follow these directions carefully:
Keep this computer offline when not working on the problem, I think it is picking up junk as we go, this can happen with some infections while online.

Please understand these hackers can call there junk anything they wish. Vundofix may not know the files at first, but it will learn. You want to run the fix until you see all Vundo files say: "Has been deleted"

Thanks to Atribune and any others who helped with this fix.

1) Please download VundoFix.exe (http://www.atribune.org/ccount/click.php?id=4) to your desktop
Double-click VundoFix.exe to run it.
Click the Scan for Vundo button.
Once it's done scanning, click the Remove Vundo button.
You will receive a prompt asking if you want to remove the files, click YES
Once you click yes, your desktop will go blank as it starts removing Vundo.
When completed, it will prompt that it will reboot your computer, click OK.
Please post the contents of C:\vundofix.txt and a new HiJackThislogin a reply to this thread.Note: It is possible that VundoFix encountered a file it could not remove. In this case, VundoFix will run on reboot, simply follow the above instructions starting from "Click the Scan for Vundo button" when VundoFix appears upon rebooting.

If there is a file VundoFix doesn't find we need it submitted. Please submit
the files to upload malware http://www.uploadmalware.com

(hold the reports and logs until we finish, Vundo fix may have removed some of these items, just do not miss any)

2) How to make files and folders visible:
Click Start > Open My Computer.
Select the Tools menu and click Folder Options.
Select the View Tab. Under the Hidden files and folders heading, select Show hidden files and folders.
Uncheck: Hide file extensions for known file types
Uncheck the Hide protected operating system files (recommended) option.
Click Yes to confirm. Click OK.
You may reverse this for safety when we are finished.

3) Please download ATF Cleaner by Atribune
http://www.atribune.org/content/view/25/2/
Save it to your Desktop. We will use this later.

4) How to use the Delete on Reboot tool
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/tutorial42.html#delreb
Start Hijackthis
Click on the Config button
Click on the Misc Tools button
Click on the button labeled Delete a file on reboot...
A new window will open asking you to select the file that you would like to delete on reboot. Navigate to the file: C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\winzlo32.dll and click on it once, and then click on the Open button.
You will now be asked if you would like to reboot your computer to delete the file. Click on the Yes button if you would like to reboot now.

5) Open HijackThis and choose "Do a system scan only" then check the box in front of these line items:

6) RIGHT Click on Start then click on Explore. Locate and delete these items:

C:\WINDOWS\TEMP\ <<< delete everything in that TEMP Folder (NOT the folder)

7) Run ATF Cleaner
Double-click ATF-Cleaner.exe to run the program.
Click Select All found at the bottom of the list.
Click the Empty Selected button.
Click Exit on the Main menu to close the program.

Restart the computer and post the Vundofix report and a new HJT log, let me know how the computer is running now.

Thanks

If you posted this information I missed it?

Assure me this is valid: c:\dell\E-center\gtb2.exe

Ok...before i post the results and before i run the test....

How to use the Delete on Reboot tool
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tuto...42.html#delreb
Start Hijackthis
Click on the Config button
Click on the Misc Tools button
Click on the button labeled Delete a file on reboot...
A new window will open asking you to select the file that you would like to delete on reboot. Navigate to the file: C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\winzlo32.dll and click on it once, and then click on the Open button.

The above did not work...i clicked on the butto for delete a file on reboot and nothing came up after the screen disappeared.

C:\WINDOWS\TEMP\ <<< delete everything in that TEMP Folder (NOT the folder)
The above .... I was unable to remove all items....there is about 10 that says access denied.

C:\WINDOWS\system32\qxrcrnna.dll <<< delete that file

the above was deleted before your post...the other 2 that you want me to delete are access denied also.

C:\PROGRAM FILES~1\COMMON FILES~1\rmzf\ <<< delete that folder

This folder doesnt exist on my computer, may have been deleted by a program.

Vundofix is showing a lot of dangerous out of date versions of Java, see this:
http://forums.spybot.info/showpost.php?p=12880&postcount=2
Please post your uninstall list so I can take a look:
Open Hijackthis.
Click the "Open the Misc Tools" section Button.
Click the "Open Uninstall Manager" Button.
Click the "Save list..." Button.
Save it to your desktop. Copy and paste the contents into your reply.

These vundo files are still in the log, the junk will morph and put itself back if we don't kill it all. If you have not done so, follow the instructions at the end of the Vundofix to add that file to the fix. Wait a few hours and give it a try. Once that file is gone we have one to remove manually so post a new HJT log and the uninstall list.

HJT will not remove the Vundo files: C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\khffffg.dll
because it logs in via Winlogon when the computer boots, you must kill it with Vundofix, that is the reason for the instructions to upload the file so Atribune can add it to his fix.

The other file I usually use the Delete on Reboot tool in HJT and do not know why it does not work for you, I use it all of the time. Try booting to Safe Mode and see if you can remove it there. If not, download Killbox from this link, read the directions so you know what you are doing and use Killbox to remove it. http://forum.malwareremoval.com/viewtopic.php?t=320

Keep me posted

Thanks for the feedback, I guess we can't really expect Artibune to set there and wait for us to send him files, here is what is left as I see it.
Atri's website site if you want a look: http://www.atribune.org/

O2 - BHO: (no name) - {D2692EE8-4795-44F4-A8FF-8FAC5D4FE947} - C:\WINDOWS\system32\khffffg.dll
O20 - Winlogon Notify: khffffg - C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\khffffg.dll

and this sneaky piece of crap:
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [WindowsService] rundll32.exe "C:\WINDOWS\system32\bcrrrtet.dll",realset

Notice how real that looks. I have found from experience if it is removed before all of the Vundo files, it is replaced and it morphs. Once that Vundo file is gone, then the other item needs to be removed like this:

(hidden files and folder must be enabled)

Open HijackThis and choose "Do a system scan only" then check the box in front of these line items:

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [WindowsService] rundll32.exe "C:\WINDOWS\system32\bcrrrtet.dll",realset

Close all programs but HJT and all browser windows, then click on "Fix Checked"

RIGHT Click on Start then click on Explore. Locate and delete these items:

C:\WINDOWS\system32\bcrrrtet.dll <<< delete that file

If you want to wait a few hours to see if the file gets added, that is fine, If you want to try another tool, here is one that is most often successful:

Please download VirtumundoBeGone:
http://secured2k.home.comcast.net/tools/VirtumundoBeGone.exe
* Save it to the Desktop
* Close all running programs (including your Internet Browser)
* Double-click VirtumundoBeGone.exe on the Desktop
* Follow the directions as indicated

This program may generate a "BLUE SCREEN OF DEATH" which is an expected/necessary part of the process.
Do not be concerned.
Just reboot if your system "jams".

To confirm successful deletion, and determine if there are any additional problems, please post the VirtumundoBeGone log VBG.txt. It is found on the Desktop.

I'll let you make the call

Thanks

Thanks, as far as I can see you are good to go. You are running MSConfig in Selective Startup mode so you may not be showing me everything.
I suggest you do this now: System Restore does not know the good files from the bad. In case bad stuff has gotten into your System Restore files, follow the instructions in this link to get clean System Restore files. Turn it off, reboot then turn it back on:

You need to have a good Spyware program running in realtime, if you have not decided on one after you read the information from experts, this is a good free one:

Here is some great information from Tony Klein, Texruss, ChrisRLG and Grinler to help you stay clean and safe online:
