smitfraud-C.toolbar888 again!!!

I have just detected smitfraud-C.toolbar888 with Spybot.

I have the latest and up to date Norton security and protection centre, which doesn't spot it or any other problems at the moment.

Spybot only temporarily removes it.

Advice on where I go from here would be much appreciated.

I notice others with a similar problem post a file infection status path. How can I produce this if it helps???

download and run vundofix:

Please download VundoFix.exe to your desktop:

* Double-click VundoFix.exe to run it.
* When VundoFix re-opens, click the Scan for Vundo button.
* Once it's done scanning, click the Remove Vundo button.
* You will receive a prompt asking if you want to remove the files, click YES
* Once you click yes, your desktop will go blank as it starts removing Vundo.
* When completed, it will prompt that it will reboot your computer, click OK.



Note: It is possible that VundoFix encountered a file it could not remove.
In this case, VundoFix will run on reboot, simply follow the above instructions starting from "Click the
Scan for Vundo button." when VundoFix appears at reboot.

Empty your Temp folders. Go to Start > Run and type:cleanmgr. Windows will scan. When done check these 3 and press *ok* to remove:

Temporary Files
Temporary Internet Files
Recycle Bin

reboot once , rescan with hjt and psot anew log
