mystery: something slowing the computer way down

Usually when I post here I have plenty of symptoms or guesses as to what's affecting my computer.

But now all I can say is I've experienced major slow down on all activities and that AdAware finds dozens of files daily. Spybot says I'm clean.

Any help you can give would be much appreciated. Here's a HijackThis log

I'm worried about some of these Roxio files. I purchased a RoxioMedia Creator program from Ebay. Soon after I read that people sell bootleg copies of programs with viruses built in. Any chance that's what's slow me down?

I am not sure what is going on here, I see little in the HJT log. I do see this:

C:\Program Files\Java\j2re1.4.2_04\bin\jusched.exe
Which is a line indicating that you have the Java scheduler running and that your version of Java is VERY out of date, see this:

If your issues are not resolved, I will take a look to see what I can do if you will read and follow the "Before you post" instructions. You can wait on the online scan until we see if we need it.

What I need from you is:

1) More information about these "dozens of files" Ad-aware is locating, what are the names, where are they located, anything you think will help.
Include anything else you think will help.

2) Use the instructions in the following link to run AVG Anti-Spyware, make sure you delete or quarantine andything it finds and post the scan report.

3) Open Hijackthis.
Click the "Open the Misc Tools" section Button.
Click the "Open Uninstall Manager" Button.
Click the "Save list..." Button.
Save it to your desktop. Copy and paste the contents into your reply.

Restart the computer and post any information I requested, the uninstall list, the scan report and a new HJT log.
