I've tried to follow the required steps listed in the sticky, however i cannot even open Internet explorer to run your recommended online virus scanner.
the virus just crashes the explorer window.
I had to download and install moz/firefox with my wife's laptop just to be able to post this.
I'm at wits end any other suggestions or other online scanners that can run on mozilla firefox?

Unfortunately I can not even say if I can help you without more information as described above. I can however tell you that Smitfraud is bad enough, but if you have Torpig, you may want to be reading about it:

If that trojan is onboard, your security is severely compromised, at the very least you need this information:
I suggest you pull the plug on that computer until you can decide how to proceed.
