Zlob.VideoAccessActiveXObject Help??

Hello--
Forgive me if this is posted somewhere else--I have just spent 4 hours looking for what to do--so I followed the directions in the "before you post" thread.

I opened an email from a friend and found myself infected with this Zlob thing. AVG did NOT catch it--AVG did not even find it during the scans. McAfee online scan did not catch it. Ad-Aware did not catch this either. Spybot did catch it. The CA virus scanner listed in the "before you post" thread found -- imsmain.exe win32\moiling!generic and could not fix it.

Hi all--
I continued searching for answers and came across lots -- so I put them all together and hopefully answered my own problems.
I did the scan on http://www.ca.com/us/securityadvisor/virusinfo/scan.aspx (etrust one listed on "before you post" thread) and that found a problem. I ran Spybot in safe mode and attempted to clean again--didn't work.
I then downloaded Hijack This and posted those results in this thread--previously.
I then downloaded Smitfraudfix. Did option 1. Then rebooted in safe mode and did option 2. Then rebooted (regular) and did option 3. Then did Hijack this to make sure things were gone. Then downloaded and ran ATF cleaner. I then re-did the online antivirus scan--found nothing. I then re-ran Spybot--found nothing. I think the nasties are gone. I will run another HiJack This and post the results next.
Please tell me that my computer is clean now:sad: --

To prevent that from happening. Since you mention your read the "Before you Post" topic, you should also know what can happen when you make multiple additions to your post.

Having said that, I can say a your HJT log looks to be clean of malware and if things are back to normals you seem to have been successful. I will make these suggestions.

1) Remove the tools like Smitfraudfix you downloaded from your computer, they do not update and you would need a fresh download if you needed them again, the exception is the ATF-Cleaner. It's a nice tool and you can keep it if you wish.

2) System Restore does not know the good files from the bad. In case bad stuff has gotten into your System Restore files, follow the instructions in this link to get clean System Restore files. Turn it off, reboot then turn it back on:

Thank you so very much for the advice pskelley! I will remove the smitfraudfix right away--I would not have known to remove it--thank you! I did read other threads--many of the ones you mentioned--and did delete system restore points. This forum is absolutely wonderful--you guys are awesome!

I figured my post would be delayed because I posted more than one in my thread--but since I searched on and took steps on my own--anyone to help me would want to know that. Sorry.

Thank you so much for looking over my HJT log--I feel so much better knowing that a pro has declared it clean.

I will read the other links that I might not have that you mentioned (and re-read the others).
