Welcome to the forum, I need to know you have read and understand the directions: "BEFORE you POST" Mandatory Steps Before Requesting Assistance http://forums.spybot.info/showthread.php?t=288
All advice given is taken at your own risk.
This is a Vundo infection, wondering why you think Smitfraud? Smitfraud may be hidden but I see no evidence of it at this point. Here is some information about this junk.
Since there is a class action involving this one, you may want to view this information:
http://www.networkworld.com/news/2007/030807-mystery-around-winfixer-slowly-unravels.html
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zBUZHiKhsog
http://msmvps.com/blogs/spywaresucks/search.aspx?q=winfixer+msn
http://www.revenews.com/wayneporter/archives/adware-spyware-greynets/getting_the_fix_on_winfixer_aol_network_now/
We need to have a look at the infection before we start. As always on an infected computer I suggest keeping it offline until it is clean to deny hackers any access.
Open Hijackthis.
Click the "Open the Misc Tools" section Button.
Click the "Open Uninstall Manager" Button.
Click the "Save list..." Button.
Save it to your desktop. Copy and paste the contents into your reply.
C:\Hijackthis\HijackThis.exe <<< return here and point your mouse at the HJT.exe and right click, then choose rename. Call it agemin.exe or whatevcer you wish. Restart the computer and post the uninstall list and a new HJT log.
Thanks
Thanks so much for helping me with this!
First, just to comfirm, I have read and understood the "read before you post" post.
I thought that it must be Smitfraud as Spybot is detecting Smitfraud-C. Toolbar888 in its scans and I am getting lots of pop-ups and have a very slow computer!

Thanks for returning your information, let's get this out of the way first:
http://forums.spybot.info/showthread.php?t=8668
Smitfraud-C.Toolbar888
If you have the newest version of Spybot, the newest databases and everything is immunized, then consider that a false positive and ignore it.
Please follow the directions carefully if you wish to be successful.
Thanks to Atribune and any others who helped with this fix.
Here are the Vundo files I see in the HJT log, there will be more hidden. They must all be deleted by the fix.
C:\WINDOWS\system32\mljgg.dll
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\vtutrol.dll
Please understand these hackers can call there junk anything they wish. Vundofix may not know the files at first, but it will learn. You want to run the fix until you see all Vundo files say: "Has been deleted"
Please download VundoFix.exe (http://www.atribune.org/ccount/click.php?id=4) to your desktop
Double-click VundoFix.exe to run it.
Click the Scan for Vundo button.
Once it's done scanning, click the Remove Vundo button.
You will receive a prompt asking if you want to remove the files, click YES
Once you click yes, your desktop will go blank as it starts removing Vundo.
When completed, it will prompt that it will reboot your computer, click OK.
Please post the contents of C:\vundofix.txt and a new HiJackThislogin a reply to this thread.Note: It is possible that VundoFix encountered a file it could not remove. In this case, VundoFix will run on reboot, simply follow the above instructions starting from "Click the Scan for Vundo button" when VundoFix appears upon rebooting.
If there is a file VundoFix doesn't find we need it submitted. Please submit
the files to upload malware http://www.uploadmalware.com
Thanks
Thanks for your easy to follow directions!
I ran VundoFix and there were a couple of files that it couldn't delete. I did another scan after the computer rebooted but those files weren't found.
There is an error that comes up when the computer is restarted. It is "Error loading C:/Windows/system32/ecbrcxvv.dll . The specified module can not be found."
However, everything seems to be working so far....
Here are the logs:

G'Day Melinda and thanks for the feedback, looks like we killed all of the bad guys, we can run more scans but if the computer is back to normal we will stop right there. This new HJT log is clean of malware.
I see this which is a dead Java line, with the O2 - BHO: SSVHelper Class - {761497BB-D6F0-462C-B6EB-D4DAF1D92D43} - C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.6.0_01\bin\ssv.dll (file missing) It IS NOT malware, and you may remove it with HJT if you wish.
Remove any tools we downloaded for the cleanup, the exception is ATF-Cleaner. It is a nice small tool and you may keep it if you wish, you may even share knowledge of it with your mates.
